Service Description

Course Info: HeartCode PALS is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. Using eSimulation technology, students assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings where they can apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support. You must have completed the online course via the American Heart Association Online Portal and have printed up the certificate with the serial number. The certificate with the serial number will look similar to the examples below, and you must bring it with you to your in person skills test. Part 1 Online Portion Course Length from AHA: Approximately 8-10 hours Online (Note: If you not good at computer learning or fast navigation online you should take the course all in person.) Part 2 & 3 In-Person Course Length: Approximately 3-4 hours in person Total Course Length: Approximately 10-14 hours online & in person Course Fee: $95.00 Payment (Cash/Check/Credit Card/Debit). After you register for the class below, you will be given the option to pay now via credit/debit card. Prerequisite: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR card. If your BLS card is expired, you must complete the BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion challenge testing during the class and written exam, an additional $42. If you do not have an American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card you must take a full course. After successful completion you will be issued a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card. Precourse Self Assessment Test: Pre-Test is an optional module to help you pass the in-person Megacode testing. Pre-Test Available at www.heart.org/eccstudent Click on "Pre-course Assessment" Password Give on Registration.


Cancellation Policy

Refunds are not available for courses. If a student cannot attend their scheduled class 48 hours notification is requested. Students can contact us at (862) 200-9145 to be placed in a similar class at a future date.
